No gambling! Our public events are free to PlayNation™ members and no financial consideration is required to play. Federal and Provincial Laws strictly prohibit gambling as stated in the Criminal Code of Canada. Any player caught betting for cash, property or anything of value during play in our public venues will be terminated from the league. There are no exceptions! Players may NOT appeal this decision.
In the case of a dispute the decision of the Tournament Director shall be final. Your tournament directors do their best to maintain the quality and integrity of the game at all times. However, they are people first. They can, and do, make mistakes. Please show respect for their decision. This is a fun league and we want to keep it that way.
Any player caught cheating will be banned from PlayNation Poker.
All players must be of legal drinking age in the province where they reside to have a membership in PlayNation. If there is any doubt, we will request valid photo I.D.
Only players registered in the tournament will be allowed to sit at the table. All players may be required to produce photo ID on request.
Any player who threatens another player or becomes verbally abusive will be asked to leave the tournament.
When a player loses his/her chips, they are eliminated from the tournament and must leave the table and report to the Tournament Director. This prevents confusion in the player standings. In the event that the player doesn't report to the TD they shall receive 25 points for the night regardless what their position was that night.
The tournament ends when one player wins all the chips.
English only at the tables.
Do not splash the pot. The person dealing will collect the chips into the centre of the table.
In the case of a split pot with an extra chip, the lowest denomination chip will go to the player first left of the dealer. Change will be made with the lowest denomination chip available at the table.
If a player leaves the table during play to use the bathroom or get a drink they will still be dealt a hand. If they are not at the table when action reaches their position the hand will be declared dead.
No player can play another player's hand.
All the chips must be visible at all times. Please keep your largest denomination chips in clear view.
Any player putting chips in their pocket will be disqualified from the tournament and the chips will be removed from the tournament.
Player's cards must also be visible at all times. If a player lowers the cards below the table, that players hand will be considered dead.
If a player is dealt an extra card in error, or if a card is seen by any player during the deal, that card will be considered the burn card.
VERBAL STATEMENTS ARE BINDING. A player must verbally announce their intentions when betting BEFORE they take the action. If raising, announce "RAISE" and the amount of the total bet before placing the chips into play.
If a player puts chips into the pot without declaring an intention, it will be considered a call.
No rabbit hunting please. (This is when you look at the flop/turn/river cards after play the hand is already finished. It slows down play and is generally considered poor poker etiquette.)
No cell phones - its distracting and slows down the game. If you must take a call please have the courtesy to fold your hand and step away from the action or your hand will be declared dead.
